Wikipedia is open to tampering.

They have tried to tighten it up lately, but more of the effort is based on tracking down who did it rather than preventing it.

Like everything in the world, Wikipedia is a good source, just cross check with a number of other "reputable sources" ;-)

Wiki can be manipulated by anyone with a computer. Much of it is reliable but I always double-check their facts before I use them.

Guns don't kill people, people do.

So it is with Wikipedia... it is a tool. Like so much else of the web it COULD be corrupted.

HOWEVER - I love it. I use it all the time. and did I say I love it and use it a lot?
