There's a couple of things to know about making a page that's about you:
1. You have to be notible (I'm going to be famous isn't enough, you need some form of notiblity.
Officially: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:BIO
"A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of published secondary source material which is reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject.
* If the depth of coverage is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may be needed to prove notability; trivial coverage of a subject by secondary sources may not be sufficient to establish notability.
* Primary sources may be used to support content in an article, but they do not contribute toward proving the notability of a subject."
2. Editing a page about yourself is a conflict of interest, (the reasoning behind it is that you can't make a page about yourself without bias, and it would be unfair to edit it.) If you are notible, then chances are somebody will create the article
Policy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:COI#Autobiography
"It is not recommended that you write an article about yourself. If you are notable, someone else will notice you and write the article. In some cases, Wikipedia users write articles about themselves when the more appropriate action would be to create a user page. In these cases, the article is normally moved into the user namespace rather than deleted. If you believe you may be notable enough, make your case on the appropriate talk pages, and seek consensus first, both with the notability and any proposed autobiography."
