Is there any IP changing software that works for editing wikipedia? Proxies are all blocked for editing and so is Tor. So what about software programs that change your IP? Do they work or are they also blocked from editing wikipedia?

Software programs that change your IP that are at all well-known will generally be blocked, as they'll use a fixed IP or set of IPs or otherwise be easily identifiable. So no, software programs that change your IP on their own won't work.

If you really wanted to get around the problem, you'd get a few friends to set up some VPNs for you (see < http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_network > to understand what a VPN is) and then cycle through those as needed—but that would be only a temporary solution if your intention is to flout the rules of the community, since it would be simple for the new addresses to be blocked as well.

There isn't even any IP-non-changing software that works with Wikipedia. If you have a working internet connection and a valid IP, the last thing you'd want to be doing is editing Wikipedia articles. You might as well literally pull your own head off.

Use a personal VPN, http://www.surfbouncer.com to do this. Works all the time.

There is no reason for you to need to do this that wouldn't involve breaking Wikipedia rules. It's a useful resource for everyone, so don't abuse it - you may well need it one day.
